Bryan Jackson, originally from Maryland, has made his home in Texas for many years. As President of Dallas downriver Club since 2003, Bryan has led many river trips in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas for groups of 40 or more paddlers. In addition to his skills as a paddler, Bryan is an excellent chef who enjoys preparing and serving delicious meals around a campfire after a day on a river. Having been an IT Manager and POS programmer for major corporations for many years, Bryan has excellent organizational and team-building skills honed from decades of experience. He logs about 1,000 miles of paddling every year and has been on many rivers with Marc McCord since 1996. His wife Gloria and daughter Angela also paddle, so for Bryan it is a family matter, and his technique has been developed with concern for their safety, a factor which translates into a positive influence when leading trips or conducting team-building activities.
In keeping with the tradition of CRGS, Bryan is an excellent outdoor chef and those on trips with him can attest to the really great meals he prepares and serves. Bryan is the creator of the Paddlin' Pals web site and is a contributor to Southwest Paddler and the Dallas Downriver Club web site, one of the most prolific paddling club web sites on the Internet. His photography can be seen on all three sites. Bryan's personality makes him an excellent paddling companion and instructor. He brings a love of paddling and camping to the sport that is sure to rub off on anybody with whom he has contact. Bryan is an excellent addition to the CRGS team of capable trip leaders and team-building coordinators. [ Cancellation Policy ] [ Trip Photos ] [ Contact ] [ Links ] [ Home ] [ Canoeman.com ] |
